Concept, Colour, Composition.
What does it mean to see the world through rose-coloured glasses? It means to filter away the mundane, banal, routine aspects and look again. What do you see then? Art is the sink into which pours a painter's filtered reality. Lying there suggestively are conceptual puddles of colour, line, shape, brightness and shadow awaiting your pictorial composition. Once rendered by whatever means skills allow, artful depictions of objective reality express your poetic appreciation, if given such a chance.
Dear Mr. Taylor,
Thanks very much for sending me a link to your website. I really enjoyed seeing your work. The works on your site that jumped out to me are: Africathedral Pane, Metropolism, Baroque Amorphosis, Deck Station 574 (concept) and BMX Fusion (concept). These ones really use the opportunities of what digital media can do that are hard to replicate in traditional media. They have a sense of space, reflectivity, transparency and color that is dazzling and magnetic. I’d like to see what you are up to from time to time so feel free to send me images or links. Best of luck to you and thanks for making contact!
Take care,
